On April 8th, 2009, rookie pitcher Nick Adenhart of the Anaheim Angels made his season debut, and his 4th professional start for the team against the Oakland A’s. He would finish the game, throwing the best game of his short career. But this would be the last time he would ever be on the pitcher’s mound. Following his stellar performance, he went out dancing with three friends – Courtney Stewart, Henry Pearson, and Jon Wilhite. After leaving the club shortly after midnight, their vehicle collided with a drunk driver who blew threw a red light just a block away from the club…listen now to find out what happened to these young people whose lives tragically intersected that fateful night.
