Action-PACKED episode this week as we preview the entire cards of not one but TWO major PPV’s this weekend for NXT Takeover Brooklyn and WWE Summer Slam, but before we do our picks and fantasy booking, we HAVE to start with each of the 3 Go-Home shows this week to really line up the matches!
RAW was a bit strange, and felt thrown together, as we saw the Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins high school musical continue. Bray summons the Demon, Sasha catches Nia, and the Hardy’s rescue Jason Jordan from the Miztourage. Gallows & Anderson side with Big Cass, Tozawa gets a Cruiserweight championship match against Neville, and Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar have to be separated by an emptied locker room.
Over on SmackDown Live, Jinder celebrates the Indian Independence Day, Nick & Sir Ian weigh in on the merits of countries vs characters in kayfabe, and Becky taps out to Natalya. Rusev chucks Chad Gable over a table right before getting RKO’ed #outtanowhere, and Fashion Peaks continues to not conclude. In the main event, Jinder gets SuperCena’ed and Baron Corbin cashes in his Money in the Bank contract!
NXT had a lot of fluff that really had nothing to do with Takeover. Ember Moon and Asuka face-off during a contract signing, and Roderick Strong took on Drew McIntyre. The finish was indeed… Glorious.
Have a great weekend of wrestling everyone!
