About this Show
Join Ali and Charlie as they take a new look at true crime, mysteries, and forgotten history. New episodes released every Monday.
Ali is the Southern Hemisphere component of In Sight, living on the east coast of Australia. She’s always had an interest in True Crime, which started with watching Unsolved Mysteries and America’s Most Wanted with her grandmother from a [probably too] young age. This interest carried through to university, expanding her knowledge and passion even further, culminating in a Bachelor of Criminology and a Masters in Sociology.
After working in Crash Scene Investigation with the Federal Police for 10 years, she retired to focus on bringing awareness to missing persons, unsolved murders, and crimes that changed society forever.
In addition to discussing the worst of society with In Sight, Ali also produces a children’s version of their show called In Sight Junior, as well as the strange and horrible dating world with Talking Boys, and is a single mother to three small children.
Charlie provides the US perspective and accent to In Sight, recording from her blanket fort studio in her basement. True crime, particularly unsolved cases and cold cases, have been an interest of hers since she first heard of the disappearance of Etan Patz as a child. She went in a different direction career-wise, and pursued training as an American Sign Language interpreter, which is possibly the least helpful skill when it comes to audio podcasts.
After a decade of homeschooling her children, she started podcasting as a hobby when her kids decided to go to a traditional school. Learning the technical side of podcasting put her in the right place at the right time when the opportunity to start In Sight came up. In addition to co-hosting In Sight, she also produces In Sight Junior and is a regular contributor to the We’re All Just Pretending podcast.
Charlie lives in her adopted hometown of Kansas City with her husband, six children, and assorted pets.
